An investigation into complex natural systems
HYDROLOGY AND FLOODPLAIN HYDRAULICS INSTRUCTOR: NIKOLAOS KATOPODES
An analysis of the Bridgeway Lake Dam watershed was conducted to determine key attributes of the hydrological system. Bridgeway Lake feeds into the Huron River watershed, flowing south through Washtenaw County. Using L-THIA information was gathered to delineate the boundary of the watershed, the land usage, and the soil types present upstream of the Bridgeway Lake Dam. The resulting watershed was broken down into regions with similar RCN values. After calculating the RCNK for each land use and soil type, it was estimated that the Bridgeway Lake Dam watershed has a weighted average RCN of 75.48.
