TESTING ENGINEERS AND CONSULTANTS PROJECT MANAGER: RUBAN RAMOS
The double-skin façade system proposed for 555 South Old Woodward was analyzed for the potential to trap heat, smoke and other combustion products. The current design calls for the interstitial space to be 100% open on all four sides. This current design was analyzed for the risk of hot gasses and smoke to accumulate in the interstitial space. Under the supervision of professional engineer Ruben Ramos, I calculated the apparent risk posed by the movement of smoke, heat and other combustibles inside the new double skin façade.
